Weekly Message

This week, Year 7 pupils took part in an Art trip to Southampton. Pupils had an opportunity to experience an art gallery setting and were introduced to the wider world of Art, Craft and Design – a key experience as part of the school’s broad and balanced curriculum. Thank you to all of the staff who arranged this and also to the pupils, whose behaviour was exemplary.

Years 9 and 10 successfully took part in an Athletics meet this week – congratulations to all those involved.

There are some changes to the Dining Hall taking place at Cams Hill School at the end of this term. Please see the letter from Mrs Harrison-Jones (Headteacher) on the school’s website for more information as well as notice regarding the arrangements for the start of the new academic year.

Finally, we hope that you all have a restful half-term and look forward to seeing all of the pupils back in a week’s time.

Outstanding Results in the Junior Maths Challenge

A phenomenal athletics week for year 9 and 10 Cams Pupils this week.

On Thursday Elliott Evans (9M) competed in the Hampshire Schools Pentathlon Championships. Elliott took the crown by not only winning, but claiming top of the podium in each of the events!

On Wednesday Year 9 and 10 girls and boys represented us in the Gosport and Fareham School’s athletics championships with 10 schools competing in each gender.

The girls managed to smash the competition taking the 1st place team spot. The boys placed 4th.

From 12 January baguettes will be reduced to 55p (was 60p), but if butter is required the cost will be increased to 65p.

Various keys, watches and pairs of spectacles are kept in the Medical Room when handed into lost property. When named items are handed in to the Medical Room Form Tutors are notified by e-mail or printed slips, which are sent in school registers, to ask pupils to come and collect the items.
