Weekly Message

It is great to reflect on a Friday, over the past week; a week with our first ever whole school, whole day sports day which for the overwhelming majority was an absolutely fabulous success. Thank you to all parents and carers for your support in ensuring your child/children were suitably dressed and that they had a water bottle and sun cream. The weather was pretty perfect; over cast but warmish in the morning opening out into bright sunshine for just the last hour of the day.

All year groups were off timetable all day participating in a wide variety of sporting events and activities, culminating in the track finals in the afternoon. It was great to see every one supporting each other; being positive and encouraging; showing resilience and determination and having an absolutely great time. We’re already thinking about next year and how we can evolve and develop it.

Year 11 pupils finished their external GCSE exams today and we congratulate them on their conduct and application throughout the exam period which has been exemplary. Year 10 mocks start on Monday and along with the school production of the Little Mermaid and presentation evenings and assemblies, a busy end of term is fast approaching.

The weather forecast is predicting some very hot weather for the forthcoming week so please do ensure that your child/children have water bottles and remains hydrated throughout the day. Any temporary amendments to school uniform in light of the weather will be communicated by email to you.

With very many thanks for your continued support.
