Weekly Message

It has been a week for music and theatre in Year 7. Yesterday, Year 7 were treated to a production of the “Frog Prince” by the Bumblebee theatre group. The focus on the arts continued today with the Year 7 talent show during lessons 3 and 4 in the Events Hall. As always, the talent demonstrated by our pupils was amazing. Congratulations to all the pupils who took part and thank you to Miss Haynes and the Year 7 team who arranged for this event to take place.

Looking ahead to next week, a reminder that Tuesday is the school’s Enrichment Day. This is a day when most pupils will be exploring a range of issues related to personal and social health education. These events are led and coordinated by Mr Anderson and delivered by the tutor groups. Year 11s, with GCSE exams a few months away, will be working on a range of catch-up activities.

The weekly Headteacher’s blog contains more informal reflections from the week and is available here: https://camsheadteacher.wordpress.com/

Year 7 Talent Show

On Friday 19th January Year 7 held the annual talent show. Pupils have been busy preparing and honing their performances for several weeks. Alongside the more traditional talents of singing and dancing we have also had bouldering, card tricks, ice skating, comedy, mountain biking and many more talents shared. We were blown away by the level of talent that is in the year group and are really proud of all pupils who took part today.

Our winners were: Year 7 team choices: Sophie White (7C) and “The unexpected” from (7H). Our special mention goes to Daisy Stewart (7M). Farran Hearn (7L1) was our runner up who vowed with her vocals and our winner this year was Izzy Coote (7M) who shone like a star with her emotive dancing performance. Well done to all our fabulous pupils who prepared, practised and performed on the day.

Miss S Haynes, Year 7 Manager
