All pupils have now met all their new teachers completing the second week of their two-week timetable. They are making their way from lesson to lesson using the one-way system and getting to grips with the timings of the school day.
Pupils and staff spend break and lunchtime outside in year group zones. We have all been enjoying our morning and lunchtime breaks in the sunshine with the weather very much on our side. Looking at the forecast ahead, it looks to remain settled but there may be the chance of light rain. We ask that parents/carers are mindful of the weather when sending their children into school to ensure that they are suitably prepared for changeable weather.
We thank parents and carers for supporting the school with the wearing of face coverings when moving around inside the school building. The pupils’ response to this request, as members of our school and wider community, has been phenomenal, reflecting our collective aim to keep each other as safe as possible. We also thank parents/carers for their support with the staggered start to the school day, so that pupils can arrive in school in their year group bubbles.
Mrs Harrison-Jones (Headteacher) has written to all parents/carers today with an End of Week 2 of the New Term Update – this has been emailed to parents/carers. If parents/carers need to communicate with the school, please see our contacts page on our website https://www.camshill.com/contact-us/
College Information Afternoon – 17 September 2020
This week our Year 11 pupils had the opportunity to participate in our Careers/College Information afternoon and start thinking about life after Cams Hill. We were pleased to be able to host several colleges who gave our pupils information about future pathways and different opportunities that are available for next steps.
It was exciting to see so many of our Class of 2021 taking prospectuses and asking about the various courses and qualifications on offer. If pupils have further questions about colleges or career aspirations, they are welcome to contact Mr Purslow (CEIAG Coordinator) for a careers interview.
