Year 8                 8.16

Year 9                 7.53

Year 10               6.30

Thank you to all the pupils, parents and carers able to join us for the Year 10 Parents’ Subject Evening on Tuesday and for the feedback provided through the completion of the questionnaire. We value this feedback which supports our continual development for the benefit of the school community.

We remind parents/carers that they can contact the school at any time for an answer to a query, to share information, etc and we refer our readers to the ‘contact’ tab on our website which helps to direct an enquiry to the most appropriate person.

Uniform Expectations

Mrs Harrison-Jones (Headteacher) wrote to parents/carers this week with important reminders about uniform, particularly with regard to the wearing of PE kit. Pupils must only wear Cams Hill School PE kit on the days they are timetabled to have PE. We ask parents/carers to ensure that their child is sent to school in correct uniform to avoid valuable learning time being wasted responding to uniform issues.  Please refer to the school’s website for specific details about uniform expectations.

Food Hygiene Rating of 5

This week we had an impromptu visit from the Food Standards Agency – with the agency awarding us a Food Hygiene Rating of 5!

Whilst not unexpected with our fantastic catering team at the helm, huge congratulations to Mr Watkins (Chef Manager) and his colleagues – we are so pleased that all their efforts running the catering unit and feeding our school community the most amazing food have been rewarded with this top mark.

INSET Day – Friday 28 January 2022

A final reminder that the school is closed to pupils on Friday 28 January 2022 as it is an INSET Day.

Photography Trip to Portsmouth College

This week Year 11 GCSE Photography pupils had the opportunity to visit Portsmouth College where they took part in a workshop.  All pupils made dry point etchings using close-up photographs of plants and seeds.  They will be able to develop this technique back in the classroom and include their work in their GCSE portfolios.  Thank you to Portsmouth College for their input and hospitality.
