Welcome back to all our readers following the Christmas break. Here’s to 2021!
The school has been very busy as we start the new term in a National Lockdown, delivering the curriculum through our online provision. Mrs Harrison-Jones (Headteacher) has written to parents/carers today, reflecting on the week’s activities and celebrating all that has been achieved by both pupils and parents and carers at home and by staff ‘in school’ as we adapt once again to remote working. The letter also refers to the school’s Lateral Flow Testing Centre which is now set up for staff and pupils.
We value and appreciate the feedback and communication that we have received from both pupils and parents this week; the positive comments about the online provision are reassuring and where there have been obstacles, we have worked with parents and carers to find solutions. We know that it is not plain sailing for all and remain committed to working with families to ensure that all pupils can access the provision and are supported to adapt to working with their teachers and tutors via a screen.
We ask pupils, parents and carers to get in touch with us if there is anything causing concern – we are always happy to help.
Critical Worker Online School Provision (CWOSP)
It’s back and rebranded … formerly Key Worker School we now have CWOSP! A hub of hardworking pupils (children of critical workers) accessing the same online learning on site as the pupils working at home.
Whilst CWOSP operates on a different basis to KWS, we still have Mr Watkins’ amazing cuisine in the canteen to enjoy and our daily PE stint! This week, Mrs Holden set up badminton sessions to keep the team fit, healthy, active and social.
Obviously, we are missing the rest of our CamsFamily but, for the time being, we’re getting used to our very small and happy group 😊

Duke of Edinburgh Volunteers
The school is looking for volunteers to support our pupils complete the expedition element of the award.
This can include being an Assessor, Team Leader or adult support for the day. All training will be provided.
