Year 11 pupils have completed their second set of Mock Exams this week and the marking has begun. Pupils will be provided with essential feedback to act upon ahead of the real exams taking place soon. Revision sessions are available for all pupils in support of the work they complete during curriculum time.
The Year 11 pupils have conducted themselves superbly and we thank all those involved in supporting them at this time: parents/carers, teachers, invigilators, members of the Learning Support Department, tutors, Head and Assistant Head of Year and a special thank you to Mrs Ure for her impeccable organisation as Examinations Officer.
We remind parents/carers of Year 11 pupils that the next Parents’ Subject Evening takes place on Tuesday 17 March 2020.
Year 11 Pupils on a Trip to Iceland
Cams Hill pupils enjoyed a fun-packed trip to Iceland last week with the Geography Department. The visit covered so many places of geographical interest with highlights including waterfalls, geysers, hot springs and the Blue Lagoon. They were even lucky enough to experience the Northern Lights.
Both pupils and staff have stated that many long lasting, fond memories were made and the school is grateful to those who made the trip happen.
1000 Faces
The school is supporting the Wave 105 radio station with the launch of their charity fundraiser ‘1,000 faces.’ All the money raised through the ‘1,000 Faces’ initiative will go to supporting local disadvantaged children.
We refer parents and carers to the letter that was sent on Wednesday with the specific details of how their child can be involved and thank them for their support. We look forward very much to seeing the final outcome.
Sport Relief 2020
We very much like our Cams Hill Community to get involved in a ‘Big Draw Raffle’ to help raise money for Sport Relief 2020. Cams Hill School warmly welcomes any donations, prizes or experiences for our Big Draw Raffle and we are proud to acknowledge companies or businesses in recognition of their generosity.
We would like to thank you for your ongoing support of Cams Hill’s charity initiatives, and for the money we raise as a community to help local projects.
If you feel that you are able to contribute, please contact Miss Noble via office@camshill.com by 29 February 2020.
During the week we will also be running a range of different activities and would love for students to receive sponsorship for their involvement. A list of the events running can be seen below.

Collecting pupils at the end of the day
We respectfully remind pupils, parents and carers that pupils should meet their parents in the Visitors Car Park at the end of the day. Pupils are not permitted to leave the school via Main Reception.
Absence Line Phone Number 01329 226540
The school would be grateful if parents/carers could add this number to the contacts on their phone.
To report an absence and to help us deal with your call promptly, absence phone calls should be made to this number rather than the main school number. We thank parents and carers for their assistance.
