School Ethos and Values

At Cams Hill School pupils come first in everything we do; young people should have the opportunities and the courage to be who they want to be.

Underpinned by kindness and high standards, we enable pupils to thrive in a calm learning environment, supporting them to be active and courteous members of the community

We imagine a future for our pupils where they will achieve success and self-fulfilment through the provision of a broad education, hard work, commitment, and determination. We have the highest expectations of our pupils and staff. We believe all our pupils will go onto to make a positive contribution to society, whether that is in the local area or beyond.

We are driven by our values and principles. The world is a fast-moving place, and we reflect this by providing a learning environment that nurtures key skills to enable pupils to thrive. Our learning environment highlights the importance of new technologies; it emphasises the development of attitudes such as courtesy, commitment, and courage; it fosters the skills of independent thinking and communication; and it encourages a deep understanding of social responsibility in the community

We are community focussed; we believe a school and education should be at the heart of a community. The school’s resources and facilities are here for the Fareham and Portchester area; we aim to benefit pupils, their families, and the wider community

We envisage a strong partnership with parents and carers; together we will see children progress and strive to achieve their goals.

We invest in our pupils and staff to be the best they can be through facilities, training, and time. We believe that if you invest in your community,  the community will thrive.
